Thurs. Oct. 6 Certainly Not Boardom in Tuscany!!!

Pam, John, and Sue traveled to San Gimignano, famous tower town.  At one time, it had 72 but now only 14 remain.  The higher your house/tower, the more important you were.  It was also a good spot to be when the enemy attacked.  San G. is also famous for its gelato!  Pam, John, and Sue had a fantastic lunch in a rooftop garden which included white truffle sauce. They managed to squeeze in a wine tour and bought several bottles of great wine. John managed to play race car driver and returned in half the time from  San G.to our villa.  We hope the NDP wins today!

Jim and Julie had spent the night in Florence partying with the young folks from around the world in a hostel, and they rented speed bikes and toured the town.  They returned to our villa using their bikes and the fast train.

Rob, Sue, Linda, and Milla stayed close to home and toured an alabaster studio in Volterra and purchased a "David" statue.  After returning to the villa, they hiked the mountain close by in search of the wild boar.
