Julie went back to the hospital in Volterra to spend the day with Jim. By the way, Jim is doing great and will be released on Monday. Julie and Jim are spending another week here in this paradise to make up for Jim's time spent in the hospital.
Susan, Linda and I prepared things at the villa for our new arrivals coming tomorrow and Monday. We did have time to go for a car ride over the hills toward San Gimignano. We drove through a large forested nature reserve which looks like a great spot to go walking and finally arrived once again in San Gimignano. After strolling through the back streets of this very quaint village, we came upon the famous gelato store. Today we tried the mango/chocolate. Yummm!!!!
We took many photos on the way back to Volterra because the "light" was perfect.
Julie, Linda, Susan and I had a quiet dinner with red wine and talking about the "ubuntu" philosophy.
