Our crew of "old" hippy baby boomers arrived safely today Saturday October 1 in Tuscany. The villa we rented called La Casa San Mario, is located about 10 min. outside Volterra among the rolling hills. British Airways and Air France delivered the 9 of us on time and safely into Pisa at 12:20 p.m. We rented a few tiny diesel fueled cars and headed southeast for about 50 min. into the hills. We finally arrived at our gorgeous villa, unpacked, and headed into town for food supplies. Jim and Rob stayed behind in the warm 30 degree sunshine and swam in the pool. The local farm lady, Sonja, supplied us with her homemade vine and olive oil. Our first Italian Tuscan dinner was delicious. I wonder what tomorrow will bring?
