Well the old Foxx(s), Milla and Linda went to Florence and we had strict orders to keep up the blog......hope you guys are having a great time!!! Today our group split up. Pam, Sue and John spent the day exploring Siena. It is a beautiful medieval city a top a hill. We walked around the city and toured its impressive cathedral. Jim and Julie stayed at the Villa and did some chorey stuff hoping for the very blustery wind to die down. It didn't, but we decided to get on our bikes and cycle up the 15% (at points) or so grade for 4kms to Volterra. A challenging ride for sure. The cappuccino, beer and focaccia tasted good at the end! Julie got her hair cut back to pixie by Antonella, a lively and cheery stylist who's favorite style is short. We (J, J, John, Sue, Pam) are writing this evening, after dinner. Sue and Pam are heading to Venice tomorrow via Florence and John is renting a bicycle and heading back to the hilly terrain of Volterra. No rain yet on our trip, tho' it threatened today.
