Oct. 11+12 in Cinque Terre

Before the 2 day adventure to Cinque Terre started for us, Pam and Sue headed north to Florence and Venice.  They stood for hours staring at the 17 foot tall naked statue of David, but did manage to shop for leather in Firenze.  In Venice, Sue and Pam had fun listening to the gondolier singing as he passed by the girls standing on the Rialto bridge, reminiscing about Pam's honeymoon 41 years ago.

Susan, Milla, Linda, and Robert flew up the Autostrada at 130 kph to La Spezia 3 hours away from Tuscany, and then took the train into the magical land of Cinque Terre.  5 Terre are five coastal cliff towns on a 7 mile strip along the Mediterranean.  These 5 communities are linked together with a treacherous quad burning very narrow pathway.  We walked for 2 days, swam in the sea, and stuffed ourselves with delicious pesto pasta.  Oh! and drank the local red wine.  This place is a hikers' paradise.  We sweated our guts out and it was worth every noodle and every last drop.
Pam, Sue, and John had a great time back in Tuscany frolicking at the Cecina beach.  Jim is working on those bed sores in the Volterra hospital with Julie by his side.
The moon is full and the twilight Wolfs are out in full tonight.
Our wedding celebration is only 2 days away.  Tomorrow, Susan will be frantically shopping for that diamond ring and Robert will be putting the finishing touches on the celebration ceremonies.

Stay tuned!!!
